The phase I renewal at the west gate and the canteen front plaza, where the aim was to create a friendlier and more efficient connection with the surrounding neighborhood. Repeating granite modules, curved planters, gravel dining areas and lush tropical planting give the first phase a calm, natural character, while also softening circulation and everyday use.
The design of phase II extended to the campus central axis and building connections, turning more of the outdoor environment into places for outdoor classroom, gathering, and informal social exchange. Where the terrain became more complex, the curving language of Phase I was translated into three-dimensional planters and terraces, which accommodate level changes and help define varied activity spaces. A quiet water feature, composed of stones, aquatic plants, and sculptural maples, creates a transitional space in front of a teaching building and brings a more reflective, ecological layer into the campus landscape.
