Ballistic Architecture Machine featured in Maxxi Museum, VERSO EST. Chinese Architectural Landscape
July 29, 2011
BAM’s Winter Garden installation is featured at the inaugural publication and exhibition at MAXXI museum in Italy, shedding light on the Chinese architectural landscapes of the last decade.
The exhibition, organized by MAXXI Architecture, will be open to the public from 29 July through to 23 October 2011 and is one of the events celebrating the Year of Chinese Culture in Italy. General coordination by Elena Motisi with exhibition design by Silvia La Pergola.
“This is the first time that such an exhaustive exhibition on contemporary architecture in China has been presented abroad, says Fang Zenning, and it is a great honour to be at MAXXI in this space that is recognised, among Chinese architects too, as one of the most representative, because the very essence of contemporary architecture is stimulating our imaginations and creativity.”
VERSO EST. Chinese Architectural Landscape takes shape at a crucial moment in which China’s leadership in construction will continue to expand to the point in 2020 where according to certain economic predictions it will account for a fifth of worldwide construction.
