2023 Architizer A+ Award, Jury Winner: Tianjin 4A Sports Park
May 30, 2023
Architizer, the world’s leading online platform for architecture, announces the winners of the 11th Annual Architizer A+Awards. BAM’s newest project Tianjin 4A Sports Park wins the Jury Award in the Architecture + Learning category!
BAM’s Tianjin 4A Sport Park got selected as winner by jury decision, praising the project in particular for the innovative water feature – the Play ‘n Learn Water Mountain; an interactive hydrology model and a miniature of the Yangtze River delta landscape, the Three Gorges Reservoir and the ancient Dujiangyan irrigation system. The design takes an idea which is potentially far too large and abstract to comprehend and turns it into an interactive environment, where learning is embedded into the process of play that illustrates the human’s role in the heavy manipulation of the landscape and water ways.
The Architizer A+Awards is the industry’s largest and most international awards program and honors the best buildings and spaces from across the globe. BAM is honored to be selected as the finalist and winner of Architizer A+Awards for three consecutive years! Previously, BAM’s Daxing Park and MAHA Garden, won the Popular Choice Award in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
The 11th Architizer A+Awards featured 106 project and 13 firm categories, each setting up two awards—Jury Winner and Popular Choice Award. This year, the A+Awards had received 5000+ entries from 96 countries, and less than 4% of all entrants received recognition, making it highly competitive.Â
